How to play Number Recall
Take a moment with Number Recall before moving to another game. Reproduce each number exactly. A wrong answer ends the current session. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Use the example below to understand a decision.
A careful first round
Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Make the next step deliberately.
Your goal
Reproduce each number exactly. A wrong answer ends the current session. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Keep the controls in easy reach.
Step by step
- Select Start again to begin.
- Memorise the displayed number without entering it yet.
- After it disappears, type the number into the answer field.
- Choose Check number; a correct answer opens the next round.
Controls
Use the on-screen controls with a mouse or touch. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.
A useful example
If the number is 3072, enter all four digits in order. Entering 372 misses the zero. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Keep the controls nearby.
Watch out for this
This is a memory game, not a clinical assessment. A different version of the game may use a different rule. After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again.
